Ninth Annual TriState Bike/Hike

On Sunday June 8, there is a Bike/Hike scheduled to take place on the Allegheny Highlands Trail. Registration for the event will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Meyersdale Train Station in Meyersdale, PA. Rain or shine.

Directions: From Bus. 219 in Meyersdale, turn onto Main St. by the fire station. Proceed 4 blocks up the hill. Across the tracks you will see the train station on your left. http://atatrail.org/maps/directions.cfm

The course is packed, level terrain. You will have the choice of traveling over the Salisbury Viaduct (1908 ft. long and 101 ft. high) towards Garrett or towards the Keystone Viaduct and the Mt. Savage Tunnel (3,300 ft. long, lighted.) There will be limited availability of return transportation from Frostburg, MD if you travel to that destination. Please call the numbers below prior to June 1 if you are interested in that option.

To Salisbury Viaduct - 1¾ miles
To Garrett – 8 miles
To Rockwood – 13 miles
South
To Keystone Viaduct – 2½ miles
To Mt. Savage Tunnel – 11 miles to MD. end of tunnel
To Frostburg, MD – 16 miles
To Deal parking lot – approximately 8½ miles
From Deal parking lot to Mt. Savage Tunnel – 2 miles

Proceeds for this event are for Mennonite Central Committee, the Mennonite Church relief organization that responds to those in need due to wars, natural disasters and poverty in the US and around the world. http://www.mcc.org

We are requesting a minimum entrance fee of $15 per participant and are urging you to invite sponsors to participate with you. No charge for children under the age of 12. (The $15 fee may include sponsorship funds.) Please bring your sponsor form and donations with you to registration. Checks may be made payable to TriState Relief Sale.
